Hellblade: Senua’s SacrificeXbox One players may be playing Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice in the near future according to a listing on a Taiwanese rating board. The PlayStation-console exclusive from Ninja Theory garnered acclaim for its production value which appeared greater than what an indie studio could normally achieve. It looks like this warm reception may be helping the developer launch it on more consoles. The rating (via Gematsu) unfortunately doesn’t reveal a planned release date. From what can be read in English on the page, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice from Ninja Theory was PEGI rated for Xbox One. Not a lot to go by, but this isn’t the first time a game’s release has leaked via a rating board, and it certainly won’t be the last. In addition to the Taiwanese rating, Hellblade was also recently rated again in Australia. this time as a multi-platform release. Though the Australian rating doesn’t specifically mention Xbox One, it’s hard to imagine a new multi-platform rating going up for the game without an imminent launch on other consoles. android pWe’re nearing the launch date of the first Android P Developer Preview, according to rumors. Little is known about the upcoming release in terms of user-facing features, though we’ve done our best to catalog all of the bits and pieces we’ve been able to find. The two biggest rumored changes coming to Android P include support for atypical display types (such as those with a ‘notch‘) and a revamped Material Design interface. Today, we’re also confident that Android P will finally add support for the Bluetooth HID device profile service, which will allow for your smartphone to be used as a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse. Back in 2014, a patch was submitted by a member of Qualcomm’s CodeAurora forums that adds support for the Bluetooth HID device role. That patch was committed in December of 2016, however, the functionality remained disabled for subsequent Android releases. That appears to be changing with the release of Android P as we were sent a tip by XDA Member 500 Internal Server Error that two commits finally enable Bluetooth HID. We confirmed ourselves that this Bluetooth HID profile has only recently been added, as a comparison of the supported Bluetooth profiles in Android 8.1 Oreo (branch oreo-mr1-release) versus the latest master shows that the boolean value enabling HIDD has been flipped to true. windows media playerMicrosoft’s latest iteration of its popular OS, Windows 10 builds upon a completely different base. With the Microsoft Store and Universal Apps, Microsoft is trying to ditch the old and reliable x86 platform in favor of the modern UWP apps. Many of the old apps are being deprecated in favor of UWP apps, and it looks like the beloved Windows Media Player is next in the line. According to a post on Reddit, some users are getting a pop up asking them to switch to the Movies & TV app when opening video files in Windows Media Player. For those unaware, Movies & TV is a universal app from Microsoft for Windows 10 devices. As the name suggests, the app is used to play video files. The app also serves as a good-sized catalog of Movies and TV shows that can be downloaded or watched. Movies & TV first started Xbox Videos in Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 and then got renamed in Windows 10. It also got a UI uplift and became better with more new features, but like most UWP apps, it still has its limitations. Continue reading on OUR FORUM.

windows 8 phone error codeWhile Microsoft ended mainstream support for Windows Phone 8.1 more than six months ago, there are some users that still utilize the platform as their daily driver. Although the company's overall mobile initiative isn't faring too well either, most users on older platforms are still there because they prefer it over the competition or weren't offered an upgrade path to Windows 10 Mobile. However, it now appears that Windows Phone 8.1 users are facing some unforeseen problems with the Store - and no, it isn't regarding the death of apps. According to reports, people on the platform have been unable to download apps from the Store since yesterday. Hundreds of people over in Windows phone Facebook groups (private), Reddit, and Microsoft support forums are complaining that they are being hit with error code 80070020 when attempting to download apps from the Store using their Windows Phone 8.1 devices. We have confirmed the presence of the issue on our devices too. A quick search reveals that this problem has occurred in the past too, and the usual fix is to check that the system date and time is correct and that the Microsoft account is synced. However, this solution strangely isn't working for people who are affected this time around. Check out OUR FORUM for more.

two handed manipulationIt is finally happening. After not having a major update since August of 2016, HoloLens owners everywhere will soon get a number of new features added to their devices. At least if they are members of the Windows Insider program. Throughout 2017, the Mixed Reality Team at Microsoft seemed focused on the immersive headsets that were coming out in time for the holiday season. As Microsoft released the Windows 10 Creators update last April and the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update in October, HoloLens developers and owners everywhere watched and wondered why these amazing devices were not being updated in line with the rest of the Windows ecosystem. Thanks to information coming out of the HoloDevelopers Summit, an occasion that readers of our weekly newsletter may have noticed on our event calendar, we now know that not only did attendees of the Summit receive an early update but that a similar update will likely be reaching Windows Insiders by the end of the month. NR50 member Jesse McCulloch, the organizer of the HoloDevelopers Summit, not only confirmed rumors that were circulating but also listed a number of new features that came in the update. foldable phone from microsoftWe’ve known for a while that Microsoft is working on a mythical Andromeda foldable mobile-form factor device, popularly referred to as Surface Phone. In the last few months, we have discovered several patents providing us with a closer look at how the foldability of the rumored device could work. Judging from all the rumors, Microsoft’s Andromeda (Surface Phone) will feature a hinge that would connect the two screens to produce one single image. Microsoft’s foldable Andromeda will support several form factors, as the foldable screens would be connected to each other by a hinge. We have also hoped for a while that such a device will increase the market share of Windows 10 operating system and attract the Windows Phone users once again as the device will be both a tablet and smartphone when the device is closed shut like a book. Microsoft needs to launch a foldable mobile device or else it will fall behind its competitors since Apple, Google, LG, and Samsung are also working on such a product. We explain why you will need a foldable phone from Microsoft on OUR FORUM.
