ZTE Axon M is Now Official: Dual Display Foldable Phone
« on: October 18, 2017, 12:29:03 PM »
After some teasers and hype, the ZTE Axon M finally became official today. Just as predicted it’s a dual display machine, with a hinge down the middle and it feels very much like a relative of the Nintendo DS and Sony Tablet P somehow, but more stylish. Let’s see what the fuss was all about.

Confirmed and leaked last month, the ZTE Axon M is a dual display device, that was previously also known as ZTE Axon Multy. It features a dual 5.2-inch screen setup with Full HD resolution. When both the screens are unfolded, opened up like a book you’ll get a 6.75-inch tablet-like display to play with. There’s also a Mirror Mode, which is ideal to use when the device is in tend mode and offers the user an extra screen to watch content on.

It’ll also duplicate whatever is on the screen on the other one to create a mirror image. There’s also a Traditional Mode, with the phone folded up and used as a standard smartphone with a single display. A Dual Mode is the most interesting one, letting the user run two apps, one on each screen, for extra productivity and multitasking. Finally, the Extended Mode combines both screens into one.

Specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, as well as a microSD card slot. There’s a 20-megapixel camera, that can be used as both the front and back cam, plus a 3180 mAh battery here. USB Type-C connectivity and Android 7.1.2 also make the cut. As far as availability is concerned, the handset comes exclusively to the USA, priced at $24.17 for 30 months. You can also pay $725 outright.

Dual speakers are included and we also have an audio jack. More details about availability and debut will be published here.
