Microsoft has today released the first cumulative update for Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803). The direct download links for Windows 10 KB4103721 are also available, which means you can upgrade your computer manually. Needless to say, you can also download the cumulative update via the Settings app.

Windows 10 KB4103721 (Build 17134.48) is the first cumulative update for the newest version of the operating system. Microsoft has fixed a lot of bugs and glitches with today’s update. If you’re one of the first users who upgraded to new version of Windows, you probably noticed some bugs and glitches.

Microsoft allowed users to manually upgrade their devices to Windows 10 version 1803 (April 2018 Update) on April 2018. As expected, the update had many bugs such as Google Chrome freezing issues, File Explorer crashes, BSODs and more on some systems. The latest cumulative update will improve the overall performance and fix most of the critical bugs.

As noted above, Microsoft is addressing most of the reported issues with today’s cumulative update. The Build 17134.48 is available and it brings several changes for users who already installed April 2018 Update. The changes include both security and non-security improvements to compatible devices.

Microsoft has addressed an issue where Windows Servicing update causes App-V Scripts (User Scripts) to stop working. The company has also fixed a bug where certain VPN apps could stop working unexpectedly.

Microsoft is addressing issues with updated time zone information and the company is also fixing a bug where the system fails to connect to a Remote Desktop server. Apart from the aforementioned changes, Microsoft is also rolling out security updates to Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Microsoft scripting engine, HTML help, Windows app platform, Windows kernel and other core components of the operating system.

While we expected that the cumulative update will introduce a lot of fixes, it appears that it doesn’t include as many fixes as required, but Microsoft has addressed most of the critical bugs with this update.

Good news is that Microsoft is not aware of any known issues in today’s cumulative update for Windows 10, but it remains to be seen how the update installs on PCs. We will be keeping an eye on community forums and update the article if there are any reports of failed installs.
