Microsoft released its first major update of this year for users in the month of April by naming it “Windows 10 April 2018 Update”. The company released the update on 30th April 2018 to all Windows 10 users in stages as has always been the case with major releases.

The Windows 10 April 2018 update had its own share of issues after the roll out with the Redmond Giant having pulled off the update for some PCs due to installation and other issues.

Now with the company releasing a new build 17134.165, the Windows 10 April 2018 update has now been termed to be ready for Enterprise users.

Microsoft has tagged the Windows 10 April 2018 update as “Semi-Annual Channel” confirming that the update is now free from bugs and can be downloaded on PCs used by enterprises.

The “Semi-Annual Channel” confirmation has been made available in an official Microsoft document which confirms that the Windows 10 April 2018 update is deemed to be good and free from issues for updating on Enterprise PCs.

The Semi-Annual Channel tag is given to a major update once Microsoft has fixed all the bugs which it encountered post-release along with fixing compatibility issues.

Microsoft has been very careful in promoting Windows 10 April 2018 Update to Semi-Annual Channel.

So to keep away from breaking any systems owned by businesses which could result in loss of major and confidential data, Microsoft has taken its time to promote the April 2018 Update to the “Semi-Annual Channel.”

Microsoft now recommends the Enterprise users to install the latest Windows 10 April Update on their PCs since the company has fixed all the issues and bugs which appeared post-release.

“With each Semi-Annual Channel release, we recommend beginning deployment right away to devices selected for early adoption (targeted validation) and ramp up to full deployment at your discretion, regardless of the “Targeted” designation,” Microsoft explains.

It’s worth noting that the performance of Windows 10 April 2018 Update is much better than the previous versions of the operating system. Microsoft has also improved the security and privacy settings with Windows 10 version 1803.
