Patch Tuesday cycle brings cumulative updates for all Windows 10 versions, including version 1709. The direct download links for Windows 10 KB4284819 are now available on Microsoft’s Update Catalog. KB4284819 is available for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709) devices and it advances the systems to Build 16299.492.

Windows 10 Build 16299.492 does not come with any new features or UI changes. Microsoft has fixed the bugs reported by the users and the update improves the overall performance of the system.

As noted above, the June patch for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update bumps the OS to Build 16299.492. The update should download and install automatically, but you can manually check for updates in Settings -> Updates & Security. To you check whether the update installed or not, just press Win key + R and then type winver.

Microsoft is improving the performance of the system by fixing the general bug fixes. The company has also addressed an issue in Microsoft Edge that causes incorrect responses to XML requests.

The company says that the SameSite cookie web standard is now live in both Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer.

The latest security updates are available for both Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. The company is also pushing security updates to Windows storage and filesystems, Windows app platform and frameworks, Windows virtualization and kernel, Microsoft scripting engine, Windows Desktop Bridge, Windows apps, Windows shell, Windows wireless networking, and Windows Server.

Microsoft says that they have addressed issues with Internet Explorer that prevents it from using an updated version of location services. Microsoft is also fixing the issues with devices that go into BitLocker recovery but Secure Boot is disabled or not present, resulting in firmware installation issues.

Similar fixes are also available in the patch for Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) that was shipped today (http://www.windows10newsinfo.com/smf/index.php/topic,35132.0.html).

The patch for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is supposed to improve the user experience, and while at this point, there are no reports of installation issues, but everything can change as more users get it.

Microsoft is aware of an issue where some non-English platforms may display error in English instead of the localized language. We’ll update this article if and when details of other issues are available.
