Microsoft released the July 2019 non-security Microsoft Office updates with improvements and fixes for the Windows Installer (MSI) editions of Office 2010, Office 2013, and Office 2016.

The updates are available for download via Microsoft's Update service (http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12373/windows-update-faq) and from the Download Center for manual installation. Also, they do not apply to the Click-to-Run versions of the apps, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home.

Depending on the update, users might also need to install previous updates such as a Service Pack, as is the case of some of the fixes released for Microsoft Office 2010 which require that the Microsoft Office 2010 Service Pack 2 (http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2687455/description-of-office-2010-service-pack-2) is installed.

Office non-security updates

While the list just published updates cover almost all Office apps, from Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project to Microsoft Access and the Microsoft Filter Pack, some of them also add improvements, enhance security and stability, and fix issues impacting the entire suite of apps in the case of Microsoft Office 2010 and Microsoft Office 2016.

Uninstalling misbehaving Office updates

After installing some of the Microsoft Office non-security updates released today as part of the July 2019 Office Update Release, users may also have to restart their computer.

Also, just in case your Office installation starts misbehaving after applying the updates, you can uninstall any of them using the following procedure:

Quote
1. Go to Start, enter View Installed Updates in the Search Windows box, and then press Enter.

2. In the list of updates, locate and select the offending update, and then select Uninstall.
