Windows 8 Milestone 2 build 7927 leaks

Wow Windows 8 Milestone 2 build 7927.avi

A Milestone 2 version of Windows 8 leaked publicly on Monday.

The build is currently being distributed over torrent sites and various other file sharing sites. The build is an early sample of Microsoft’s work with the Milestone 2 stage of Windows 8. Compiled in February, it’s a relatively old copy of Windows 8 and does not contain a number of new improvements found in 80xx builds.

The latest build to leak out of Microsoft’s Redmond walls is 7989 which was made available in mid-June. The build contained unlockable UI elements, a new wallpaper and a betta fish boot screen. Microsoft revealed on Monday that it is at the 8059 stage of Windows 8. The company unveiled build 8059 during a video demonstration of the new ribbon user interface in Windows 8′s Explorer.

Microsoft is currently preparing a “Windows Developer Preview” of Windows 8 for release next month at the company’s BUILD conference. The preview will likely contain a number of near final parts of Microsoft’s work with Windows 8 but will not mark the “beta” stage of Windows 8. WinRumors will be live from the BUILD conference from September 13 onwards, stay tuned for up to the minute coverage of Microsoft’s grand Windows 8 unveiling.
