Canouna advizes that the file currently on The Pirate Bay is fake — even if you see his name on the torrent.
For several hours, on some foreign forums, talking about the names and properties. ISO RTM of Windows 8 . The first two names have appeared:

9200.16384.WIN8_RTM.120725-1247_X86FRE_CLIENT_HR-HR-HRM_CCSA_X86FRE_HR-HR_DV5.ISO

9200.16384.WIN8_RTM.120725-1247_X64FRE_CLIENT_HR-HR-HRM_CCSA_X64FRE_HR-HR_DV5.ISO

After less than an hour more details have emerged on the English versions, whose name is:

9200.16384.WIN8_RTM.120725-1247_X86FRE_CLIENT_EN-US-HRM_CCSA_X86FRE_EN-US_DV5.ISO

9200.16384.WIN8_RTM.120725-1247_X64FRE_CLIENT_EN-US-HRM_CCSA_X64FRE_EN-US_DV5.ISO

The weight, however, is respectively of 2.45 GB and 3.34 GB . It would also leaked ' MD5 version of 64-Bit for Windows 8 in English , but we can not confirm its authenticity:

MD5: 0E8F2199FAE18FE510C23426E68F675A

On channels torrent , among other things, are turning already some morning. ISO, passed off as Windows 8 RTM, but obviously it is empty files , if not of viruses.

Stay tuned because today Microsoft has started shipping to OEMs of Windows 8

Even more has been released:

[A post on Winunleaked quotes Russian language site Wzor as saying, to a first approximation, "Management of Microsoft Corporation today (July 31, 2012) notified its employees that the final RTM version of Microsoft Windows 8 will be available for them to download and install tomorrow, August 1, 2012, while corporate customers (MVLS) will have access to distributions from August 6 ..." I've seen no independent confirmation.]

Does anybody outside MS have a copy of Win8 RTM? Likely. Now that there’s an official (but not officially acknowledged) RTM build, chances are very good it’s gone out to all major hardware manufacturers – although I haven’t seen any hints about specific OEMs yet. No word on MVLS/big customers.

When will we get copies? Hard to say. Apparently MS employees (at least some of them) have access to the RTM build, but nobody’s going to lose their job by leaking a copy. Whether OEM or MS VLSC (Volume Licensing Service Center) customers will leak, it’s hard to say. But see the note below on keys.

As for availability on MSDN/TechNet – anybody’s guess, but September 1 has been rumored. Perhaps MS will be urged to post the RTM bits on MSDN/TechNet before September 1 if a legit copy leaks.

What about keys? Ay, there’s the rub. Win7 and earlier installed without keys, or with 30-day keys. Vista and Win7 could be re-set for up to 120 days of use without a key. Not so Win8: the installer requires you to have a key, or Win8 won’t install. There are people actively working on cracks, but nobody knows if they’ll succeed, or how the keys will be genned.

Online upgrades? Not even a clue. The RTM build is distributed as an ISO, which may or may not correspond to the System Builder edition of Windows 8. Haven’t heard a thing about online upgrades. Windows RT? You gotta be kidding – nobody outside MS has seen anything resembling Windows RT, except in very short, carefully controlled circumstances.
