Beyond Launches Mi-book Mi5 and Mi-book Mi9 Tablets Under Rs 7,500 Price Tag: What’s the Difference?


The Indian tablet market is reaching new altitudes with each passing day. Reason being, all the latest specs and features being provided at low cost range for the price sensitive Indian consumers by the local and global vendors. One of the recent entrant to the market is Byond Tech, the manufacturer unveiled its new tablet series in the Indian market named as the “Mi book” series in October. After the launch of Mi-book Mi3, price around Rs 6,000, now the manufacturer has reportedly launched two more tablets this Diwali weekend — Mi-book Mi5 and Mi-book Mi9.
 
Priced at Rs. 7,299 and Rs. 7,499 respectively both Mi-book Mi5 and the Mi-book Mi9 are reportedly available for purchase at Flipkart. Further, the tablets have been informed by the company to be made available from more than 250 distributors across India.

Mi-book Mi5
 
Mi-book Mi5 is a budget tablet having all the decent specs under the hood. The new tablet sports a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display along with 800 x 480 pixels of resolution and boasts a built of 11mm thickness and 348 grams of weight. Further, Mi-book Mi5 runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS and is powered by 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor accompanied with 512MB RAM, 8GB internal memory , 32GB expandable memory with microSD. Besides that, the latest tablet also features a VGA front-facing camera, 3.5mm audio jack, 2G Voice calling, 3G (via Dongle), WiFi, Bluetooth USB OTG, HDMI and 3000 mAh battery.
 
Mi-Book Mi9
 
Well, Mi-Book Mi9 is a bigger version of the former flaunting a 9-inch capacitive multi-touch display along with the same 800 x 480 pixels of resolution with a heavier built of 11mm thickness and weight of 515 grams. Rest of the specs are almost the same including t he 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor and the goodness of Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich), VGA front-facing camera, 3.5mm audio jack, 1080p Full HD video playback, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal memory and 32GB expandable memory with microSD. However, on the connectivity front, Mi-Book Mi9 only support 3G (via Dongle), WiFi, USB OTG, HDMI and will come pre-loaded with PDF Reader, MS Office Suite and Quick Office. Further, the new tablet will come loaded with 6000 mAh battery to support 4 hours of internet browsing and 6 hours of video playback.
