The designer responsible for the Windows 8 Lockscreen and Startscreen design has revealed early concept artwork. Marius Bauer, the designer who worked with Microsoft, explains the source of his inspiration for the Lockscreen and Startscreen image designs. Check out the concepts below.
 
"Being in Seattle, the home of Microsoft and Windows we got really inspired by the beautiful nature and iconic architecture of the city and the campus. Both elements are integrated in the final design," the designer stated on his blog. Obviously, some of these concepts didn't make it to the final version of Windows 8, but it's interesting to see how the original artwork focused on leaves and flowers.
