seems as of 1 Jan 2013, the free key to Activate an make Windows 8 Pro  FREE has been blocked...
seems M$ is starting to fix many of the Pirate Activation Methods.... many as stating that Windows 7 is being De-Activated..
and many Windows 8  also... so you might check your Windows 8 ProWMC.  slmgr -xpr
