CES 2013: Alcatel Introduces OneTouch EVO 7 HD Android Tablet
« on: January 08, 2013, 06:59:28 PM »

Alcatel didn’t just introduce a phablet and a bunch of handsets at CES 2013, but also a tablet or two. One of them is the model pictured below, the Alcatel OneTouch Evo 7 HD. They also showcased the OneTouch EVO 7, a tablet announced in October and running ICS, that was shown alongside the OneTouch EVO 7 HD, a more evolved model.

The Evo 7 is a 7 inch WSVGA display tablet with a resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels and a single core CPU at 1 GHz. There’s also 1 GB of RAM on board, 4 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a VGA front shooter and Android 4.0 ICS. And now for the interesting part, the EVO 7 HD, the one pictured above packs a 7 inch WXGA display, at 800 x 1280, with a dual core 1.6 GHz CPU and 1 GB of RAM.

There’s also 4 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a 3 megapixel main camera, plus a VGA front camera and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the OS. The product will go on sale in May with a price tag of $179 for the WiFi version and $249 for the removable 3G module version, or $349 for the 4G version.
