At Build 2015, Microsoft revealed its upcoming web browser, Microsoft Edge (previously known as Project Spartan). The browser includes a handful of new things, including improved F12 developer tools, a new Reading Mode, Cortana integration and new branding as expected. Alongside these features, Edge will also include a brand-new New Tab page. So how does the New Tab page work on Edge?

As Cortana is integrated into Edge and Windows 10, Microsft is using Cortana’s powerful features to make the New Tab page more personal for users. As you may expect, the New Tab page has a search box which lets you search on Bing. The search box is being followed by bookmarks – and if you bookmark a site that has an official app on the Windows Store, you can get the app from Edge easily as well. The browser will also recommend apps from the Windows Store on the new tab page as well.

The New Tab page also displays latest news based on your interests from Cortana which makes the experience personal. Alongside news stories, Edge will also display stock information that you followed via Cortana. To take Cortana integration even further, Edge will also display live sports info, and much more on cards.

Microsoft hasn’t yet revealed how the New Tab page will look on Windows 10 Mobile, however, it should look something similar to the Cortana feed with a search box on the top. Nonetheless, tell us what you think of the New Tab page on Microsoft Edge in the comment section below!
