Office For Windows 10 Now Available In Stable Form
« on: July 15, 2015, 02:36:18 PM »
Microsoft has removed the preview label from Office for Windows 10, the mobile version of its productivity suite, and the individual apps are now available for download.

In final, stable form.

Which means that this version of Office is ready in time for the big launch of Windows 10, which is slated for July 29. Redmond has previously announced that they would be available this month, alongside the new operating system.

But they are up for grabs now.

These new apps work very much the same way as the previously available preview versions, and the same feature lineup is offered. Apart from a few tweaks here and there, and some optimizations.

Word, Excel and PowerPoint should all work smoothly on Windows 10 devices, now that these are no longer in preview form — though more improvements are expected in the coming days, as these apps are continually updated for bug fixes and new features.

The benefits of software as a service approach!

And just in case you’re wondering why this version of Office is called Mobile, this is because it is designed to work as universal apps, not just on desktop computers, but also tablets and smartphones.

Obviously, this flavor of Office does not provide the full feature set available on the desktop version, but it still is an excellent solution for working with documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Plus, it is available as a free download.

You can grab the various apps from the links below:

PowerPoint Mobile for Windows 10

All you need is Windows 10, of course, to run these applications.
