Download Intel Android USB Driver Package For Windows 10
« on: August 25, 2015, 12:22:31 AM »

A new Intel Android driver package has recently been released by the chip giant, one that offers full support for Windows 10, Microsoft’s latest operating system.

It is available for download at the Intel Developer Zone.

Version 1.10.0, that is.

For those not in the know, this set of drivers enables Android developers to connect a Windows based machine to an Android device — as long as the said device is powered by an Intel Atom processor inside. There are a few of these around, by the way.

Onto technicalities, then.

These include the latest Intel Atom x3 and x5 processor families, though this version of the driver package does not support the new 4G SoFIA devices. But both the 32-bit and 64-bit flavors of Windows 10 are supported as host systems, as well as Android devices running version 5.0 Lollipop and above.

Intel does point out that the USB drivers for Android devices are platform specific, meaning there is no guarantee that this driver package from Intel will work for every OEM device.

Plus, since most OEM vendors also develop USB drivers for all the devices that they sell, Intel recommends developers to check out the Android OEM USB driver page that can be accessed from the official Android developer website.
