This week marks the start of the IFA 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, held in Berlin and hosting most of the big device makers from all over the world. ASUS will be there and rumor has it that they will also bring a new Transformer series tablet.
That’s one piece of the puzzle, since ASUS will also showcase new phones, laptops, smartwatches and more. Rumors claim that the new ASUS Transformer tablet will come with a diagonal between 7 and 9 inches, it will be more compact and add metal buttons. The last part could be lost in translation and we could be dealing with a metal case, in the end.
This year ASUS has focused more on its ZenFones and it has paid off, since predictions say they’ll ship more phones than HTC for the entire year 2015. The ZenPad tablet series may get new models, but the new Transformer unit will really have to differentiate from that product, to sell well. I’m expecting some Windows 10 action as well.
