It’s a small, yet helpful, addition. The stable version of Microsoft’s Ringtone Maker app for Windows 10 Mobile is available for download, having just been pushed out of beta.
The application had been under test for several months now.
As the name suggests, Ringtone Maker is an app that allows users to quickly and easily create ringtones for their Windows 10 Mobile smartphones using their own songs that are stored on the handset. This way anyone can customize and create ringtones from their favorite songs or audio clips.
The UI of this app is about as simple as it gets.
Certainly makes using it a breeze.
All you have to do is open the song that you want to create a ringtone from, do some editing by choosing the start and end of the ringtone, cutting it and that’s that. The minimum length of the ringtone is 1 second, by the way.
Once created, the ringtone can be set up anywhere you want on your smartphone, from use for calls, messaging, emails, reminders even alarms.
In case you are wondering, this is not a universal app, as nobody needs a ringtone on a PC. But while the quick and swift editing functionality would have come handy on desktops, it does make a lot of sense on mobile phones and users that want a simple enough solution.
