During today’s IFA 2016 unofficial debut, Acer announced a new Chromebook model, the Acer Chromebook R13. This device is expected to launch in October, priced at $399 and up and it’ll come with a 13.3 inch touchscreen display.

It’s also a bit of a premiere, since it’s the first Chromebook with a MediaTek chipset. Packing 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of storage, this model offers support for Android apps and web apps. It offers a Full HD IPS display, with a 360 degree hinge and relies on a quad core MediaTek MT8173C chipset, with PowerVR GX6250 graphics.

The R11 provides up to 12 hours of battery life and on the connectivity front options are quite rich: Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 ac, USB 3.0, HDMI, microSD and audio jack. There’s also a HD webcam upfront. The gadget weighs 3.3 pounds and measures 0.6 inches in thickness.
