For several days we talk about the new edition of Windows Cloud 10 : Today we were able to get our hands on a preview version. The name has nothing to do with the cloud but refers to a lighter version of the operating system.

As anticipated, this edition of Windows RT remember: as of the latter may be carried out only with apps from the Windows Store - as you can see from the opening.

Among these, we can confirm that they are including Win32 programs converted with Project Centennial, as Slack, Evernote, and CrystalDiskMark. It would seem that it is not possible - at least in this build - run some programs pre-installed in Windows 10, such as Paint, the Command Prompt, and Notepad. This could mean that soon, other applications like that are to be distributed via the Store.

Overall, the operating system is no different from the traditional version, at least at first glance. Despite the Watermark, the desktop indicates that we are using Windows 10 Pro, we have confirmation that this is the Cloud version thanks to some keys in the registry.

Among the strengths of Windows 10 Cloud is the guarantee of better security, leaving the user the ability to install only applications downloaded from the Windows Store. It was not immediately clear whether this edition of the operating system will benefit from the new support for ARM64 processors and emulation of Win32 desktop programs.

Clearly, we have to wait some time before we see this project complete. However, from the latest rumor, the first public version could be announced in conjunction with the launch of Windows 10 Creators Update.
