Windows 10 Creators Update RTM Sign Off Expected In Early March
« on: February 13, 2017, 06:05:03 PM »
WZor is back! The famed Microsoft leaker is here with a tip after quite a while, claiming that the company will sign off Windows 10 Creators Update RTM in early March.

The first half of March, rather.

Any day between March 7 and March 14 is on the table here, as Redmond is said to be specifically focused on fixing bugs and optimizing performance between now and then. Which comes in at around a month at most.

This has been revealed by WZor, who has a great track on leaking information on previous versions of the operating system, though the leaker has been out of the picture lately and flying under the radar.

But while this may seem to be a report by Captain Obvious — particularly now that we know that this version of Windows 10 is feature complete — it is important to know when it will reach the RTM state, as no other changes would be made to the operating system beyond that point.

RTM, of course, stands for Release to Manufacturing, and signifies the version that the company finalizes a particular software.

And in case of Windows, releases it to hardware partners and OEMs to be put on new devices.

This also means that a final RTM build is on the horizon, it may leak even leak out, or be released to Windows Insiders early for testing and fine tuning the delivery mechanism before the Creators Update is officially rolled out.

Sometimes in April, it is being said.

For the time being, we do know that Insiders will get it first, though Microsoft is currently involved in the vital Bug Bash drive in order to ensure that the final bits are without any flaws and stability problems.

March 7 and 14, then.
