Emojis Reimagined In This Windows 10 Concept
« on: February 20, 2017, 10:40:29 PM »

Like them or not, emojis are part of modern computing now. And Windows 10 is at the forefront of this smiley revolution, allowing for their use in messages, mails, tweets and whatnot.

Owing to their popularity, in fact, the company is paying particular attention to this feature.

Windows 10 users can insert all manner of these emoticons in their text, though the current implementation in the OS is far from perfect. Users have to launch the touch keyboard to access the emoji button, before they can get to the business of finding their prefect emoji.

Luckily, this is where this concept design created by a Reddit user comes in so handy.

It proposes a dedicated interface just for emoji, with its own icon in the system tray. Clicking it launches the windows that you can see below, allowing users to easily tap or click any smiley face to insert it into a conversation.

Here you go:

Now, two different versions of the emoji keyboard are imagined here, one with a floating window, and another one with a notification area flyout. Both can be launched via a simple click of the emoji icon in the system tray, however.

At the end of the day, this concept dishes out some interesting ideas that Microsoft can refine.

The Creators Update may be feature complete, but it is not all that difficult to see this being implemented in the next major update for the operating system.
