Some of you may want to adopt the policy of wait-and-watch and read the reports about Windows 10 Creators Update v1703 and its performance. It is a fact that Windows 10 updates do tend to create problems for a few – those few may be a very small number, but nevertheless, they exist.
While Microsoft has tested the latest Windows 10 Creators Update final build, there still could be some problems which may need to be addressed after it is made publicly available. Delay installation of Windows 10 Anniversary Update
You can use the
Defer Updates option in your Settings, to
delay the installation of Windows 10 Creators Update on your computer. This post will show you how to do it.
From the Winx Menu, open Settings and click on Update and Security. Under Windows Update, click on the
Advanced options link.
There under the Choose how updates are installed category, check the
Defer upgrades setting.
When you defer upgrades, new Windows features won’t be downloaded or installed for several months. Deferring upgrades doesn’t affect security updates, however.
So if you are unsure about installing the new Windows 10 Creators Update right away and would prefer to wait for a month or two and check reports about it, you may select this Defer upgrade option to delay the installation of Windows 10 Creators Update on your computer.
