Forza Horizon 3 joins up with Hot Wheels in new expansion
« on: April 27, 2017, 09:48:16 PM »
The upcoming expansion to Forza Horizon 3 isn't what most players would have imagined arriving for the game after its first expansion, Blizzard Mountain, launched last year.

Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels enters as the second expansion to the Microsoft published, highly popular driving game. Its new trailer, featuring plenty of fast cars, stunts, and loopy driving is seen below.

This isn't a simple car pack (although cars are also included); the expansion includes a brand-new location in Australia to race in, with six Hot Wheels themed islands available. These islands are connected to each other via an assortment of iconic, orange Hot Wheels track configurations including jumps, boost pads, loops, corkscrews and more for players to perform many ridiculous stunts. There is even a giant mechanical dinosaur.

The expansion will also contain a new campaign where players can compete in events and work their way towards reaching a grand finale, taking place in a Hot Wheels Goliath circuit.

Ten new cars arrive with the expansion as well, with some of them being adaptations of iconic Hot Wheels cars. Only nine of these additions are revealed as of now, listed below:

1969 Hot Wheels Twin Mill

2011 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker

2012 Hot Wheels Rip Rod

2005 Hot Wheels Ford Mustang

2016 Jeep Trailcat

2016 Zenvo ST1

2007 Toyota Hilux Arctic Trucks AT38

2010 Pagani Zonda R

1972 Chrysler VH Valiant Charger R/T E49

In addition, some improvements for Windows 10 players are on the way as a free update, with support for extra driving wheels, additional graphics options, better CPU optimization and more.

Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels expansion arrives on May 9 for Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs with a standalone price of $19.99 or available as a part of the game's $34.99 Expansion Pass, which also includes the first expansion Blizzard Mountain.
