On April 11th, Microsoft started rolling out the Windows 10 Creators Update gradually in order to avoid potential early issues. The process is quite similar to Microsoft’s rollout of last year’s Anniversary Update.

Even if the rollout is a gradual process, the Windows 10 Creators Update is already running a large number of PCs running on Windows 10 throughout the world.

Windows 10 Creators Update in statistics

AdDuplex reports that version 1703 of the Windows 10 Creators Update is currently running on almost 10% of all Windows 10 PCs. 82.1% of users are still running the previous Windows 10 Anniversary Update for now, which isn’t strange considering the rollout of the Creators Update only started a little while ago.

Microsoft is prioritizing its Surface devices for this latest update rollout. Over 20% of Microsoft Surface devices are currently running the Windows 10 Creators Update, while almost 30% of Surface Books and 25% of Surface Pro 4s are running the latest update.

It’s a pretty sure thing that the Windows 10 Creators Update will soon take over the previous update from last year. The rollout of the Anniversary Update proved that Microsoft’s Windows as a Service plan is working as smoothly as possible, which is why almost 80% of users are enjoying one of the newest versions of the operating system.

Millions of users run the Windows 10 Creators Update

Microsoft proudly revealed that millions of users are currently running the Windows 10 Creators Update:

Two weeks ago, we began rolling out the Windows 10 Creators Update. As we previously announced, the first phase of the rollout targets newer devices. Based on testing work done with our OEM hardware and ISV app partners, we believe these devices will have the best possible update experience and help us decide when it’s time to begin the next phase of the rollout.

The company said that millions of people running the latest update have provided precious feedback on the product itself and also on the whole user experience.
