A handful of games release on Xbox One every week, ranging from AAA titles to lesser-known indie games. Xbox Wire compiles many of these releases, but misses a few and does not give any recommendations. Here are some of the games coming out the week of October 16 through October 22 that we think you should check out. If you’re a fan of South Park, you’ll be happy to know The Fractured But Whole is finally releasing soon.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

A sequel to The Stick of Truth, The Fractured But Whole follows Cartman and his friends in an epic superhero role-playing tale. Being South Park, of course, it will be every bit as vulgar and obscene as you’d expect. Matt Stone and Trey Parker know their audience so if that’s the humor you like you’ll want to pick up this game.

WWE 2K18

Last week WWE 2K18 released early for those who preordered the Digital Deluxe Edition, and now the Standard Edition will finally launch for everyone else. This next iteration overhauls the graphics engine to feature improved lighting, textures, and character models. And you’ll also get access to a better gameplay experience, now capable of having eight wrestlers in a match at once as opposed to the previous limit of six.

Life Is Strange: Before the Storm – Episode 2

Life Is Strange: Before the Storm gives us insight into one of the most important relationships in the original series. Episode 1 showed how Chloe met Rachel Amber, and Episode 2 will continue their story where it left off. If you’ve played the first series, we all know how this story ends, but getting there is a bit of a mystery that will play out over the rest of Before the Storm.

The Jackbox Party Pack 4

If you’re looking for a game to play with a group of friends at a party, look no further than The Jackbox Party Pack 4. Featuring “five and half crowd-slaying games,” you and your friends will be laughing throughout the night. This pack comes with Fibbage, Survive the Internet, Monster Seeking Monster, Bracketeering, and Civic Doodle. The best part is it can be played through your phone or tablet, no controller required.

Elex

From the creators of the Gothic series,  Elex is an epic science-fantasy RPG set in a large post-apocalyptic world. Magic meets technology as you explore the world of Magalan and fight for its future. Factions put a twist of these two aspects and blend them together to create incredible characters.

Also releasing next week is Dungeons 3, Rogue Trooper Redux, TorqueL: Physics Modified Edition, Real Farm, and Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden. It’s not as big of a week as last week was, but there are still some interesting games coming out. If these sound like anything you may like, give them a shot.
