Just like all the other things even software products have an End of Life. Usually, Microsoft products have a support lifecycle of 10 years from the date of the productís initial release and the end of this lifecycle is usually referred to as End of Life. This October 10 Office 2007 will reach the End of Life. If you are holding out for your Microsoft Office 2007 its time to upgrade. The upgrade will help you ward off the cyber threats and also access all the latest features and bug fixes.

Also as of October 31, 2017, Outlook 2007 will be unable to connect to Office 365 mailboxes and this means that clients who are using Office 365 will be unable to use the email feature. Typically when a product reaches an end of cycle Microsoft will no longer provide  Technical support for issues, bug fixes and also donít fix security vulnerabilities.

Wondering what to do next? Fret not we will line up the list of options available for upgrade from Office 2007.

ē The most straight forward is the upgrade to the Office 2016 which is sold as a one-time purchase and will be available for one computer for every license purchased.

ē If you donít mind cutting down on the new features consider upgrading to the Office 2013

Upgrade to Office 365 ProPlus is the ultimate upgrade that one could have. The ProPlus offers a handful of Office applications and is subscription based service. The Office 365 Is a slightly watered down version of the Office 365 ProPlus but it still offers services like Skype for Business, Exchange Online, and OneDrive for Business. Additionally, it also includes full versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and Access.

The best part is that unlike Office 2007 the Office 365 will let you use the services across 5PCís including Macs and mobile devices. Also if one is not sure you can opt for monthly plans and have the flexibility. A small piece of advice, take some time to carefully analyse the plans and only then make the decision. Also, keep in mind that the system requirements will change with a newer version of the Office.
