Surface Studio gets updated with Windows Mixed Reality support
« on: October 21, 2017, 05:50:13 PM »
Microsoft has released a series of driver updates for its Surface Studio all-in-one PC. It follows in line with recent updates to the Surface Laptop, Pro, Book, and Pro 3, all of which were this week.

In fact, it's extremely rare to see so many Surface devices get new firmware and drivers within such a short period of time, but with the Fall Creators Update here, one would assume that it's necessary.

This is the first update that the Studio has received in six months, and surprisingly, there's not a whole lot that's new. It's mainly about improving support for Windows Mixed Reality in the Fall Creators Update, although the updates are available for all versions of Windows 10.

Here's the full changelog:

According to Microsoft's Value Indicator chart, these updates should improve compatibility and performance, with no effect on security, reliability, connectivity, or battery life. As always, you can grab the updates through Windows Update, or you can manually download the bundle here.
