It’s been nearly 10 days since Microsoft kicked off the rollout of the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. Much like the previous Windows 10 updates, Microsoft is gradually rolling the Fall Creators Update.

But this time, the rollout seemed a lot more aggressive on the release day, with lots of users getting the update on their devices on the release day.

As it turns out, the Fall Creators Update already reached more than 5% of all Windows 10 PCs in the first week of its release. The latest report from AdDuplex claims that the Fall Creators Update runs 5.3% of all Windows 10 PCs, with the original Creators Update now powering 74.6% of the PCs.

Last year’s Anniversary Update is still being used by 17.3% of all Windows 10 PCs, but that will likely start to decline once more users move to the Fall Creators Update.

Notably, Microsoft’s own Surface devices are ahead in the game when it comes to getting the Fall Creators Update. The picture was a bit different earlier this year: by the time majority of the devices from other OEMs were running the original Creators Update, some Surface devices were falling behind. The Fall Creators Update, on the other hand, is already powering more than 20% of the original Surface Book devices, and nearly 20%  Surface Pro 2017 devices:

Microsoft’s aggressive rollout of the Fall Creators Update isn’t necessarily surprising. The update isn’t as big as the original Creators Update, and it only includes a few major new features. At this rate though, the Fall Creators Update could possibly take over the Creators Update by the end of the year.
