A new rugged tablet was announced today, slate called JLT MT2010 and pictured below. This new tablet runs Windows 10 operating system and it comes with IP65 water and dust proof certification. Can withstand a drop of up to 4 feet onto concrete and will work in temperatures of -10 to +50°C (14 to +122°F).

It weighs only 1.2 kg (2.7 lb) and measures 19 mm (0.75 inch) in thickness. There’s a quad-core Intel Celeron N2930 processor clocked at 1.83 GHz inside, 4 GB of RAM LPDDR3 1600 MHz (up to 8 GB) and it offers a 64 GB MLC SSD mSATA but you can get up to 256 GB of storage.



JLT MT2010 arrives with a 10.1 inch Full HD display that brings optical bonding for sunlight viewability. A 5140 mAh battery comes inside, but optionally you can get a 10280 mAh battery for a better life. We also have stereo speakers, a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing sensor.



This tablet packs a lot of connectivity features: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 4G LTE optional, 3G optional, Bluetooth 4.0 + EDR, 1x extension port (optional), 1x docking connector, 1x DV jack, 1x Line out/Mic in, 1x 30-pin combo connector / Giga-LAN (or RS232), 1x microSD slot, 1x microHDMI (optional) and 1x USB 3.0 port.
