Microsoft releases Windows 10 SDK Preview Build 17110
« on: March 08, 2018, 02:03:55 AM »
Microsoft has just released the Windows 10 SDK Preview Build 17110, which developers can now use in conjunction with the Windows 10 Insider build 17110 or greater. The latest Preview SDK includes the C++/WinRT headers and cppwinrt compiler (cppwinrt.exe), but it also introduces new keywords for the Microsoft Interface Definition Language (MIDL) as well as some API updates and additions.

As usual, this latest Preview SDK can be downloaded from the developer section of Microsoft’s Windows Insider website and it only works with Visual Studio 2017. You can learn more details about what’s new on the Windows blog.

As you may know, Microsoft also held its Windows Developer Day in Redmond today, where the company highlighted key advancements for developers in the next major Windows 10 update. The key announcement was a new AI platform available across the whole Windows device family. “With the SDK for the next Windows 10 Update, developers can use AI to deliver more powerful and engaging experiences,” emphasized Microsoft’s Kevin Gallo, and we hope to see the results later this year.

The updated Preview SDK can be downloaded here. You can find the list of new API additions here.
