Microsoft earlier this week began rolling out new cumulative updates to all supported versions of Windows 10. Microsoft has also published the direct download links for Windows 10 KB4093107 on the Update Catalog site. This will basically allow you to upgrade your PC without an active internet connection.

After installing the April cumulative update, Windows 10 Creators Update advances to Build 15063.1029. It is, however, worth noting that the update doesn’t come with a lengthy changelog, though the improvements are important if you care about your computer’s security.

Microsoft has bundled all security updates released for Microsoft scripting engine, Windows kernel, Windows graphics, Windows app platform and frameworks, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browsers. The update also includes security improvements for other Windows 10 components.

The update has addressed an issue in Internet Explorer where the browser fails to render SVGs under high load, and as well as an issue with printing content generated by ActiveX in Internet Explorer. The other changes are more enterprise focused than the consumer but you should notice some performance improvements after updating the system.

Microsoft has finally addressed an issue that prevents Internet Explorer from identifying custom controls. Last but not least, Microsoft is also addressing issues with time zone information. The other components of Windows 10 such as Windows wireless networking, Windows Hyper-V, and Windows virtualization are also receiving security updates.

While Microsoft Edge has replaced Internet Explorer, the browser is still getting much love from Microsoft due to the enterprises that prefer the older browser because of compatibility issues.

Microsoft is not aware of any known issues in this update and it’s likely that the update would install correctly for everyone. Although it remains to be seen as in the past the cumulative updates were troublesome for some users. We’ll be keeping an eye out on Microsoft forum to monitor the bug and installations issues in the latest cumulative for Windows 10 version 1703.
