Microsoft is speeding up the development of Windows 10 Redstone 5 as the Windows 10 version 1803 (codenamed Redstone 4) is just around the corner. Microsoft is almost ready to switch the focus to the Redstone 5 update as the software giant is finalizing the RTM of the next Windows 10 release. Windows 10 Redstone 5 is expected to see daylight in the fall.

Microsoft is already testing the preview builds of Windows 10 Redstone 5 with the Windows Insiders in the Skip Ahead ring and it comes with some new features, including Sets. In addition to Sets, Microsoft is making more changes to the operating system.

With the latest Windows 10 Redstone 5 build, Microsoft is bringing an updated Data Usage Settings that will show more details. The feature is aimed at devices with SIM such as Surface Pro LTE and Always Connected PCs. The all-new Data Usage Settings displays how much data you are using while roaming, and you can always disable roaming under Cellular Settings.

Microsoft says that roaming usage info will appear in Data Usage Settings but only when it is active. “We’ve updated Data Usage Settings to let you know how much data you are using while roaming. The roaming usage info will appear once you start using roaming data. As a reminder, if you’d like to enable or disable roaming altogether, you can find the option under Cellular Settings,” Microsoft explained.

This new change is already in preview for some users, although it is an early implementation of the settings. Microsoft might be testing new solutions and improved interface to detail the data usage in a much better way.

The latest builds of Windows 10 Redstone 5 includes some other interesting changes as well, for example, the is testing support for stickers in the Windows 10 touch keyboard. Microsoft has already published a new collection called “Windows Stickers” but it doesn’t seem to work just yet.

The touch keyboard in Windows 10 has evolved a lot in the last few months and it is expected to receive plenty of improvements in the next version of Windows 10, including Redstone 4 update.

Windows 10 Redstone 5 is projected to launch in the fall and the development will be accelerated once the Redstone 4 update is out. The Redstone 5 could be a bigger update than Redstone 4 in terms of features and improvements.
