ASUS’ Republic of Gamers lineup is about to be adding a smartphone to it in the coming months. After recent rumors pegged a reveal for Computex 2018 in Taipei this June, Notebook Italia reports that ASUS will indeed release its first ROG smartphone this year.

Other than the usual lineup of new notebooks and hardware products, this smartphone is meant to “redefine your gaming expectations.” Specific details and features have yet to be unveiled, but there is speculation that is could house a Snapdragon 845 processor and will come equipped with display capable of high refresh rates.

More and more manufacturers are attempting to cash in on the popularity of mobile gaming, and ASUS appears to be the next one to do so. Razer, another gaming hardware manufacturer, revealed its own smartphone last November.

Computex 2018 takes place next month between June 5 and June 9. Expect to see more revealed when the expo approaches.
