Demo of new Office experience leak early (video)
« on: June 13, 2018, 12:16:02 PM »
Microsoft will be rolling out improvements to the Office suite to Office 365 customers in the near future that will give a significant facelift to the venerable collection of apps.

According to Microsoft, the update will focus on responding to customer input, offering more context and giving end users control over their experience.

The most visible changes will be to bring fluent design to the apps, but the next will likely be changes to the Office Ribbon we have now all become accustomed to, which will highlight most used features and hide others by default. Users will be able to select if these features are turned on or not using a toggle.

The apps will also make collaboration more prominent, and also use a new machine-learning powered search experience, which will first show up on Outlook on the Web.
