Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB4464218 and KB4464217 Released

Today, Windows 10 April 2018 Update and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update are receiving another new patch with minor bug fixes.

The latest patch for Windows 10 April 2018 Update advances the build number to 17134.286 and if you're on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, you'll be getting Build 16299.666.



As always, you can open Settings via Start menu or Cortana and navigate to Update & Security -> Windows Update and select Check for updates to install the latest patch. If you own multiple PCs or if you would like to patch the PCs manually, you can download and install this update from here.

Build 17134.286 for Windows 10 April 2018 Update

If you're running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, you're going to get KB4464218 that advances the system to Build 17134.286. Just like the patch released earlier this month, today's update also doesn't come with any changes. According to the changelog, Microsoft has addressed compatibility issues with Intune.

■ Addresses a Microsoft Intune issue that occurs after installing any of the updates released between July 24, 2018, and September 11, 2018. Windows no longer recognize the Personal Information Exchange (PFX) certificate that’s used for authenticating to a Wi-Fi or VPN connection. As a result, Microsoft Intune takes a long time to deliver user profiles because it doesn’t recognize that the required certificate is on the device.

Build 16299.666 for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

If you still use Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, you will receive KB4464217 or Build 16299.666. The update addresses the following issues:

■ Addresses an issue that may prevent a VPN connection from establishing for some users that are using VPN with IKEv2. The connection fails with the error, “Remote Access Error 809.”

■ Addresses a Microsoft Intune issue that occurs after installing any of the updates released between July 24, 2018, and September 11, 2018. Windows no longer recognize the Personal Information Exchange (PFX) certificate that’s used for authenticating to a Wi-Fi or VPN connection. As a result, Microsoft Intune takes a long time to deliver user profiles because it doesn’t recognize that the required certificate is on the device.

According to the August 2018 data from AdDuplex, Windows 10 April 2018 Update is the leading choice in the Windows 10 ecosystem with a share of 86.7 percent. Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709) is the runner-up with 7.8 percent of market share and Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703) holds 1.9 percent share.
