March lineup for PlayStation Plus revealed
« on: February 28, 2019, 11:30:37 AM »
On March 5th, two new titles will join the PlayStation Plus free game lineup.

The first game in the lineup is one of the most critically acclaimed games in history: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

The game was first released in 2007 as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The player takes on the role of a member of the United States Marine Corps and the Special Air Service. They must fight against a separatist group in the Middle East and an ultra-nationalist group in Russia.

The remastered version keeps the same core gameplay as the original, but includes lots of significant upgrades here and there. There’s also an updated version of the multiplayer mode and, of course, enhanced graphics and sound.

As a nice bonus, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will play in dynamic 4K if played on a PS4 Pro with a 4K display.

The other game in the lineup is The Witness, an enigmatic 3D puzzle game released back in 2016. The player can explore a mysterious island that’s dotted with man-made structures and natural formations, solving puzzles along the way.

The island has eleven regions that surround a mountain, which is the player’s ultimate destination. But be careful – there’s many visual illusions and mirages on the island which are designed to throw you for a loop.

The Witness’ open-world format allows players to take their time with puzzles and move on if they get stuck, so there’s no pressure to complete anything.

Both games will be available to download from March 5th until April 1st, 2019.

Some players may notice that the PlayStation Plus lineup has gotten a little lighter. This is due to Sony no longer offering PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita games.

This change won’t affect any games you may have already downloaded or will download before the deadline. As long as you remain a PS Plus member, you’ll always have access to those games.
