The patch has fixed the Seek Bar issue in Windows Media Player and the legacy program should function properly without any problems.

Microsoft says that the update has addressed an issue where some users experienced a blue or black screen with error code “System thread exception not handled.” Earlier this month, Microsoft revealed that the BSOD issues were reported after installing the optional November update KB4467682 which was pulled last week.

The update also addresses an issue where the Start Menu displayed the custom layouts incorrectly. This problem was also experienced after installing the optional November update for Windows 10 version 1803.

Microsoft is delivering the general and important security fixes to Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Authentication, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Wireless Networking, Microsoft Graphics Component, and Windows Kernel.

Known issues

Microsoft says that some users won’t be able to pin a web link on the Start menu or the taskbar after installing the December 2018 cumulative update.

Microsoft has also confirmed that there are no critical issues and you should not experience the BSOD error on Surface Book 2 units.
