Microsoft is all set to release the Windows 10 April 2019 Update next week or in two week’s time at the latest. Currently, the Redmond giant is busy testing this update.
The company is making use of its Insider program to test all the features that are going to be released as a part of Windows 10 v1903 OS.
This time, Microsoft focuses even more on developing a bug-free release because the Windows 10 October 2018 Update brought plenty of bugs.
According to an announcement made last week, Microsoft has finally removed the upgrade block. The block was removed for some specific devices that are running games with anti-cheat software.
The preview builds of the 19H1 branch were affected due by the block that was put was in place in February.
Anti-cheat software bug fixed for some titlesHowever, it is worth mentioning that the anti-cheat software bug was just fixed for a few games.
Some of the gaming companies collaborated with Microsoft to release the bug fixes as quickly as possible.
However, there is also a possibility that your Windows 10 PC might crash with a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). This bug might not be fixed for all the game titles out there by the time the public roll out begins next week.
Notably, Microsoft has not yet shared any details regarding the games that have got the bug fix. So, keep in mind that some games might still be affected by fatal crashes.
The possibility has been confirmed by a senior program manager on the Windows Insider Program Team, Brandon LeBlanc.
Microsoft needs to rethink its strategyMost of the Windows 10 users are avoiding the latest updates released by Microsoft following the mess created by the October 2018 Update. If the tech giant goes ahead with its current plan, there is a possibility that history might repeat itself to some extent.
Since Windows 10 April 2019 Update is set for release in two week’s time, Microsoft needs to formulate a new strategy to avoid such failures.
