With Windows 10 20H1 update, Microsoft is planning to give you more control of Windows Update’s downloads. In Windows 10 Build 18912, Microsoft has introduced advanced bandwidth settings for Windows Update that will finally allow users to limit the download speeds with absolute value.

The new Windows Update controls are hidden by default, but advancers users can enable it with Mach2. The hidden Delivery optimization settings in Windows 10 20H1 will allow you to limit ‘download speeds with absolute Mbps values’.

You’ll be able to limit the bandwidth used for downloading updates in the background and foreground as well.

“By default, we’re dynamically optimizing the amount of bandwidth your device uses to both download and upload Windows and app updates, and other Microsoft products. But you can set a specific limit if you’re worried about data usage,” Microsoft explains.

Once you’ve set the values, Windows Update or app updates won’t entirely hog your Internet connection with its background downloads.

This feature is useful if you have a slow or moderate speed internet connection and other devices on your WiFi network experience noticeable speeds reduction when you update Windows 10.

You can also set the percentage of measured bandwidth against the update source. For example, if you set 45%, Windows Update will only utilize 45% bandwidth of your internet connection.

Quick Calendar compose

Windows 10 20H1 update may also add a new feature that will let you create appointments directly from calendar shortcut in the taskbar. You can tap on any date and compose an appointment or reminder.

Right below the dates area, you’ll find appoinment name column, time and location.
