How to pause automatic updates in Windows 10
« on: July 28, 2019, 02:52:09 AM »
Microsoft’s Windows 10 has often relied on fast and automatic updates. The firm finally added (with the last Windows 10 update) a new feature that allowed users to pause updates temporarily. Microsoft only lets you do this for a little more than a month and its a feature that’s intended to help you avoid buggy updates from hitting your PC. In other words, be careful about how you use it.

Here’s how to pause updates on Windows 10

• Open Settings and navigate to Update and Security

• Click on Windows Update

• The very first option, should you not have any pending updates, is Pause Updates for 7 Days.

• Now, if you’d like to pause for more than 7 days, go to Advanced Options just below that.

• You’ll find another Pause Updates field which lets you select any date within the next 35 days, though after that you’ll need to at least take one of Microsoft’s monthly security updates to keep your PC secure.
