Huawei's next flagship smartphone series aka the Mate 30 series may still be a few months away from launch but it seems like we're already beginning to see a host of leaks and rumors on the web.

A tipster who goes by the name Rodent950 on Twitter has now outed specifications of the phone's rear camera setup. As per the tweet, the more premium Huawei Mate 30 Pro model will likely feature not one but two 40 MP sensors, alongside an 8 MP telephoto lens.

The tipster suggests that there will be a new feature called Cine Lens integrated into the camera. As of now, it is unclear what this new Cine Lens feature can do, but as the name suggests, it will be a feature that caters to video content creators and vloggers. The Cine Lens feature may also be related to Huawei AI Cinema feature, that debuted with the Huawei Mate 20 series in 2018. What is worth noting though is the fact that Huawei trademarked a camera technology labeled as Cine Lens in Europe last month, which gives us more reason to believe that the leak could be true.

Moving on to nerdy tidbits, the new leak suggests that the Mate 30 Pro will have one 40 MP camera with a variable aperture of f/1.4 to f/1.6. Rodent950 even goes as far as to talk about the pixel layout and the size of this sensor. The first of the two 40 MP cameras are expected to 1/1.5-inch in size and have an RYYB pixel layout. The second 40 MP lens is said to be 1/1.8-inch in size, with a 120-degree field of view. The third 8 MP telephoto lens, meanwhile, will feature a 5X optical zoom capability. The tipster also suggests that there will be a periscope lens along with the three mentioned lenses to complete the quad-camera setup.

As far as other rumored specs for the Huawei Mate 30 are concerned, the phone is expected to feature a HiSilicon Kirin 985 chipset with an integrated 5G modem, 55W fast-charging support, and 10W wireless reverse charging.

There's no way to confirm if these specs will find its way to the Huawei Mate 30 Pro once it's launched later this fall, but then again, leaks and rumors are all we're left with for now.
