Windows 10 Mobile Build 15254.575 is now available
« on: July 10, 2019, 11:14:10 AM »
It’s Patch Tuesday and Microsoft has just shipped Windows 10 Mobile Build 15254.575 to supported Windows Phones. Like every Windows 10 Mobile update released in 2019, Build 15254.575 comes without any noticeable improvements or fixes.

Windows 10 Mobile Build 15254.575 will show up on handsets such as Lumia 950 or Lumia 650 with Windows 10 Mobile version 1709. The patch includes security fixes for Microsoft Edge, Windows Kernel, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, and others.

Unfortunately, there’s no new update for those on Windows 10 Mobile version 1703. Microsoft noted that Windows 10 Mobile version 1703 and its Enterprise edition reached the end of service on June 11, 2019. As a result, no new monthly security and quality updates will be shipped to outdated devices.

“Windows 10 Mobile, version 1709, will reach the end of service on December 10, 2019. Devices running Windows 10 Mobile and Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise will no longer receive monthly security and quality updates that contain protection from the latest security threats,” Microsoft stated in the support bulletin.

In the changelog of Build 15254.575, Microsoft reminded users that Windows 10 Mobile version 1703 will reach the end of servicing period on December 10, 2019. All Windows Phones will stop receiving the monthly updates in 2020.

In related news, the independent group of developers recently published a big update to Windows 10 ARM for Lumia 950 XL project.

Windows 10 on ARM for Lumia 950 XL project is slowly getting better and it could be stable enough for normal usage by the end of this year.
