After Epic violated Appleís App Store rules, Apple removed Fortnite game from the App Store and also threatened to block Epicís Unreal Engine from Apple platforms. Epic filed a motion for a temporary restraining order. Today, an US district judge ruled that Apple can continue to block Fortnite from App Store but it should not block Unreal Engine as it may affect 3rd party developers like Microsoft. Read the excerpt from the ruling below.



Last week, Microsoft filed its support for Epic in the court battle against Apple. ďAppleís discontinuation of Epicís ability to develop and support Unreal Engine for iOS or macOS will harm game creators and gamers,Ē Microsoft mentioned in its court filing. It looks like Microsoftís filing has really helped Epic in the ongoing legal battle.
