Well done Sam, I am sure there are members who will appreciate your effort!

OK Y'all, I downloaded all the files and burned the iso to disc.  Today Sunday 3.14.10 I bought a Compaq computer off Craigslist for the purpose of this test.

Below is a pictorial of how the installation of Sam's file went.  The first set of pictures are taken with a digital camera since printscreen was not available, therefore I apologize in advance.

Intriguing find Sam, especially since it is for Compaq.  Ever since HP reintroduced the brand after their aquisition of the company, Compaq's have been marketed as a low end PC.  Strange to find Windows 7 Ultimate for one as opposed to Starter or Home Premium.
There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Sine Demonoid is a private torrent, and currently NOT accepting enrollments I really don't see the point in posting links to their torrents.

Only because the page shows 7 different sites to download from...  ;) but my real point was "Use your search engine!"  8)

Javajolt very kindly is uploading to Rapidshare and he told me that he will post the links up on the forum when they are all uploaded. He has already done 7 parts and e-mailed them to me. They are 199MB files.

Anyone know if it has the ei.cfg workaround to release the other editions?

I think they configured the ei.cfg if they didn't then the 32 or 64 bit version would be installed automaticaly.

If you open the ISO and removed ei.cfg  then saved back Yes you have the option to install any version. BUT SINCE THE KEYS WHICH ARE EMBEDDED IN THE INSTALL.WIM are only for Ultimate.  it would be worthless to modify.

Nice find but the ISO is NOT GENUINE... It works - YES, but this is not "AUTHENTIC" iso.

The only STUPID Question is the one you never asked.

I just purchased two computers.
1. A Gateway Desktop, Model SX 2840-01 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
2. A Acer Aspire Laptop, Model AS1410-2497 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I do have a Full System Backup for safe keeping on my external hard drive using Acronis True Image.
Questions:
1. Would you recommend me installing the "HP & Compaq Windows 7 Ultimate 32 and 64-bit from this website?
2. Why? what would be the advantage?
3. Is it perfectly safe to do so?

Since you already have Windows 7 on both computers, there is no significant reason to change either...  :)

Please Help!
After downloading the HP & Compaq Windows 7 Ultimate 32 and 64-bit, I unrared it and it pops up stating that I need Part 2 of this ISO download.
When I go back to the website I cannot find part 2 and as a matter of fact the originals now are not accessable.

I agree with DMHolt57, there really is no reason to reinstall, unless you have no knowledge of what shape those 2 systems were in.  A fresh install will give you a clean Registry going forward.

Many members and I have installed that ISO on numerous computers Desktops and Laptops and ALL are still running well.  So in answer to your question is is Safe?...YES it is.

I will re-upload it for you.  Part 2 is all you need?  Please supply me the name and size of the files, if they came from me and you downloaded them from rapidshare I have the exact file.  The files will HAVE to match.

Is this the file name HPCOMPAQ.7.ULTIMATE.X86_X64.part02

I forgot to ask the following:
If you verify that the HP & Compaq Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit will install successfully on my Gateway desktop and Acer Laptop I have one more question.
If I install this Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, will I still have all my programs and settings that came with the computers or will I have to start all over again as a basic operating system with nothing else?
If there a way to install to update my Home Premium with this Ultimate version and keep all my settings and programs?

I have not tested to see if this version will REPAIR a bad install. but you can test with.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion]

change EditionID to new version
change ProductName to new version
--------------------------------------------
Then if the iso sees you have "NEW VERSION" as stated in the REGEDIT... it simply REPAIRs the current Installation.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a REGEDIT - and if you screw up the REGISTERY and it fails to boot.  I take NO RESPONSIBILITY.

I HAVE TESTED THIS METHOD  USING A GENUINE .ISO  AND IT DOES WORK.
