Which version?
« on: May 28, 2010, 01:02:53 AM »
I'M going to purchase the legal version, Do I stay on the home edition or go better version and does it worth it.

Fast response would be appreciated, I'm purchasing this weekend.

Thanks

For most users Home Premium is more than sufficient

There are a lot of analysts who say people who buy Windows 7 Ultimate are just showing off!

Here is a little comparison chart that might help.

Forgot to mention, I'M using the RC version since the start of the beta available, I'm I going to see a big drop if I go to the home version, I'va already seen the comparasion chart, but many time it's more than just the chart.

The RC is the Ultimate.

Just trying to help, have no knowledge of what you have or have not seen or the version you are currently using.

I guess there is only one option then and that is to buy the Ultimate version.

Unless your much more specific... Like javajolt said Buy Ultimate.
My self I use Professional..... everything I need or want.

Pro is much faster on my Netbooks than Ultimate...
The only STUPID Question is the one you never asked.

Professional is my favourite, has everything I need and I couldn't justify buying Ultimate.  And I have the same experience as Snuffy, Ultimate actually performed worse on my computers.

Professional is my favourite
Also for my. However, in many cases Home Premium is a good choice and more than enough

Home Premium is best for you then, x64 of course so you can use as much RAM as possible in editing software

If your software works on x64 I'd take it, if not you'll only lose about 800mb by using x86.  Still, save yourself money and get Home Premium.
