Windows 8 Build 7850 contains an inbuilt PDF Reader but the PDF reader was locked in this build, the MDL Forums user NaiveUser has posted the registry hack which allows to unlock the PDF Reader. The PDF Reader is still in it’s early stages and has lot of bugs, though the search option looks pretty impressive.

To unlock the PDF reader in Windows 8 build 7850:

Hit the Start Orb
Search field: type REGEDIT.
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Paint\Capabilities and create a string value named "CLSID", and set its value to "{D3E34B21-9D75-101A-8C3D-00AA001A1652}". Now you can open the PDF Reader by running glcnd.exe.
You can then open the PDF file by using the CTRL+O
