Windows 10 Preview Celebrates First Update Tuesday
« on: October 15, 2014, 02:31:32 PM »
Microsoft has released the Update Tuesday fixes for October 2014, and as expected Windows 10 Preview is on the invitation list as well, though it only receives a handful of updates.

And as reported, they are primarily security enhancements.

As the screenshot above shows, three different updates are on offer this time around, and these include a security update for the operating system, another one for Internet Explorer 11, and a new build of the Flash player for the default browser.

Nothing all that special in terms of new features, but these are still early days.

Besides, these updates are also available for other versions of Windows too, so their release on Windows 10 makes all the sense in the world in order to improve the security of the operating system in development.

A new build of Windows 10, however, is the real deal.

Word is that it’s coming along either later this week, or early next, and fingers crossed it brings along some new feature enhancements and refinements. We’ll find out soon.

These Update Tuesday patches are being delivered to computers running Windows 10 Technical Preview automatically, meaning the whole process will be completed without any user interaction, as long as that particular computer is connected to the Internet.
