Microsoft release Silverlight 5

Microsoft has released what could be the last major release of Silverlight – Silverlight 5.  Version 5 supports all the same platforms that the previous versions of Silverlight did: Windows, Mac.  It also works with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari.

Microsoft officials are not commenting about whether there will be a version 6.  For more information the Silverlight Blog is here.
