GOOGLE TAKEN DOWN ! ! Google in China is no more!

Several reports are coming in from various sources, including Digital Inspiration about Google.cn being taken down. Reportedly Google has been having issues with the Chinese Government over filtering search results. But it doesn’t stop there, apparently there’s also some speculation over Google Apps and Docs being hosted in China as well.

We asked for comment on the matter and have not received word, but according to Digital Inspiration, Google stated:

Google could terminate all business activities in China. This would include closing down both its joint venture running Google.cn and its wholly-owned research subsidiary. More than 300 engineers and another 300 local sales staff in Beijing and Guangzhou would lose their jobs.
