Windows 7 Build 7264 Leaked – Road to RTM Continues
« on: June 30, 2009, 05:59:44 PM »

WZor posted another Windows 7 build on the road to RTM, along with the build string “6.1.7264.0.win7_rtm.090622-1900” and supposedly team progress bug charts/logs. If the charts are accurate, then Windows 7 will not RTM on 26th June, as implied by the Windows 7 Upgrade site.

When I try to upgrade this version won't let you, It says that you can't upgrade this pre-release. So I did a clean install with it. None of the keys listed here have worked either. Here is the version number I downloaded. (7264.0.090622-1900_x64fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD)  Does anyone know where to get keys for this?? This version works fast...

Extract your ISO and, in Sources folder, look for cversion.ini. Open it and change 7333 to 7127.
You'll be able to upgrade now.

First, these are not final builds and you should do a clean install on a clean formated partition each time.  Upgrades are for people that shouldn't be playing with beta and pre-release OS images.  If you installed 47 programs on a beta OS,...you should install the same 47 programs in the next build to see if they work...thats beta testing.  And as for activation, you're just spinning your wheels, wait for the RTM, then find an activation crack..

Here it is:

Don't forget to run batch with admin privileges!

After running batch, any RC Key should work and activate.

Oh no! It seems to activate, but minutes after it was back again  -"30 days to activating...."
And I could not use my RC numbers too..  :'(

So..? what I'm doing wrong with both  activators??

It seems to be hit and miss, whether it will work or not.  For me, while that activation method said successfull, after rebooting I got the "This copy of Window is not genuine" added to the watermark.  And a subsequent reboot brought up a popup window that said the windows os needed repair.  If I cancelled out of that the system booted to the desktop but my wallpaper was gone and only the black default color was there.

Try this: (copied from riso)

Notice the locations of the two files:
pkeyconfig.xrm-ms - C:\Windows\System32\spp\tokens\pkeyconfig
tokens.dat - C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

Replace BOTH files with the respective ones from 7232.  Stop the Software protection service before you replace, and start it again afterward. Now punch in a beta/RC key and activate

So far it is more than 8 hours, still activated....

Now it had worked for 20 hours  :D

Thanks to all of you!

I don't understand "Stop the Software protection" ... how do you do this?

Go to Run, type Services.msc and look for sppsvc, this is  the software protection service that needs to be stopped.... 8)
